I used I love this yarn! in Tweed by Hobby Lobby. (I really do love this yarn!) I am also going to make the whole set in the same yarn but with the color coffee.
All of these items are super easy to make and really quick as well. I am thinking of trying this stitch with a shrug or sweater but it has to be worked in the round so I will have to figure it out.
I think it would make a good beanie as well. If anyone has any ideas to incorporate this stitch into, please let me know!

Materials Needed:
Medium Weight Yarn – I used I love this yarn! By Hobby Lobby
4.5 mm crochet hook
2 Stitch Markers or 2 pieces of contrasting color yarn
Scissors
Tapestry Needle
Abbreviations Used:
Ch – chain
Sc – single crochet
Dc – double crochet
Fl – front loop
Bl – back loop
Sl st – slip stitch
St – stitch
Instructions:
Ch 12
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, & in each ch across
Row 2: ch 1, sc in bl of same st & each st across
Row 3: ch 1, sc in both loops of each st across
Row 4 – 28: Repeat row 2 & 3 (I like to wrap the piece around my wrist to see how snug you want the glove to be; mine is 28 rows and about 6 ½”) Do not turn but sc in each sc row down the side of cuff then sl st to first sc made down the cuff – 28 stitches
Now sl st ends together in fl of last row and free loops of first row – I ended up with 14 ridges including the joining ridge. Now you will work in the round placing a stitch marker in first st made in every round.
Round 1: ch 1, sc in each sc row, sl st in first sc made – 28 stitches
Round 2: *sc & dc in bl of next st, skip next st, repeat from * around
Round 3: sc & dc in each bl of dc st around moving stitch marker up as you go
Round 4 – 7: repeat round 3
This is where I put the glove on starting with the left hand & mark where the thumb hole should go by placing the second stitch marker in the dc just before your thumb; for me it is the fifth dc st in the row.
Round 8: sc & dc in each bl of dc st around to the stitch marker, sc & dc in bl of dc st where the stitch marker was, ch 3 skip the next 3 stitches (you should have skipped a sc then dc then sc), sc & dc in bl of next dc st and each bl of dc st across
Round 9: sc & dc in bl of each dc st around to ch 3 space, sc & dc in ch 3 space, sc & dc in bl of each dc st around
Round 10: sc & dc in bl of each dc st around
Round 11 – 12: repeat round 10
This is where I try the glove on again to see if it is the length that I want; if you want yours longer just add a few more rounds until you are satisfied keeping in mind that we will still be adding an edge.
Round 13: skip first sc made from last round & sc in next dc & each st across
Round 14: sc in each st across ending on the palm side of the glove even if that means moving past the stitch marker, sl st 2 or 3 times & fasten off. Weave in ends.
You can leave the thumb hole or close it a little which is what I like to do.
Join yarn in the corner of the thumb hole and sc evenly around for 3 rounds or more if you choose. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Follow the same instructions for the right glove until you get to round 8. This time my stitch marker went into the eleventh dc st in the row. Now follow round 8 and on.
