Children’s Finger-less Gloves | Fashion

Here are some fingerless gloves that are great for boys and girls!

They are really quick and easy to work up and make great gifts!

Please make sure to measure around your child's wrist and the length from the end of the cuff to the top of the knuckles. The size shown is for an 8-year-old.

Materials Needed:

I used Caron Simply Soft in Ocean

4.5 mm Crochet Hook

Tapestry Needle

Stich Marker

Scissors

Abbreviations:

Ch – chain

Sc – single crochet

Hdc – half double crochet

Bl / fl – back loop/front loop

Nxt – next Sl st – slip stitch

Instructions:

Row 1: Ch 7 & sc in second chain from hook and in every ch across

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in bl of same stich and each remaining stitch across

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in both loops of same stich and each remaining stitch across

Row 4 – 22: Repeat rows 2 and 3

Row 23: Ch 1, sc down the side into each row and sl st to the first sc made – 22 sc stitches down the side

Now sl st ends together in fl of last row and free loops of 1st row to close cuff – I ended up with 12 ridges including the joining ridge.

Now you will work in the round placing a stitch marker in 1st st made in every round.

Left Glove:

Round 1: Ch 1, sc in each stitch around placing marker in the first sc, do not join

Round 2 – 5: Hdc in each stitch around

Round 6: Hdc in nxt 3 stitches, ch 3, skip 3 stitches, hdc in remaining stitches around

Round 7: Hdc in nxt 3 stitches, 3 hdc in ch 3 space, hdc in remaining stitches around

Round 8 – 10: Hdc in each stitch around

Round 11: sc in each stitch around, sl st & fasten off

Right Glove: Follow instructions for left glove up to round 5.

Round 6: Hdc in nxt 17 stitches, ch 3, skip 3 stitches, hdc in remaining stitches around

Round 7: Hdc in nxt 17 stitches, 3 hdc in ch 3 space, hdc in remaining stitches around

Follow instructions for right glove rounds 8 – 11.
