Folded Front Panel Crochet Cardigan Sweater | Fashion

 

This is one of the sweaters that I created in January of 2019 but didn't write down the pattern. I am going to try to write the pattern out here but have not figured out sizing yet. What you would need to do is work the foundation chain and measure it across the back of your shoulders to where you want the sleeves to start on your upper arms. Mine would be considered a large size.

This is the pattern that I figured out from counting the stitches:

Abbreviations:

CH -  chain, SK - skip, SC - single crochet, DC - double crochet, FPDC - front post double crochet, BPDC - back post double crochet

Instructions:

Back Panel:

Row 1: Work a dc foundation chain with 58 stitches

Row 2 - 31: Ch 2, dc in the same stitch, ch 1, sk 2 stitches, 3 dc in the next stitch, ch 1, for 31 rows

Row 32: Ch 2, dc in each stitch across

Row 33 - 35: Ch 2, dc in the same stitch, fpdc around the next dc stitch, bpdc around the next dc stitch for 3 rows

Edging:

Sc up the side, sc across, sc down the side, fasten off

Front Panels (make 2):

Row 1: Work a dc foundation chain with 31 stitches

Row 2 - 31: Ch 2, dc in the same stitch, ch 1, sk 2 stitches, 3 dc in the next stitch, ch 1, for 31 rows

Row 32: Ch 2, dc in the same stitch and each stitch across

Row 33 - 35: Ch 2, dc in the same stitch, fpdc around the next dc stitch, bpdc around the next dc stitch for 3 rows

Edging:

Sc up the side, sc across, sc down the side, fasten off leaving a long piece of yarn to slip stitch the panels together, weave in all the ends

I chained about 10 to 15 stitches to make the front ties and left the tail long to connect them to each panel in the front where you want it to close

This sweater works up pretty fast and easy and can be worn with a tank underneath or a light long-sleeved blouse depending on the weather. It is very lightweight and comfortable to wear.
